18th Newsletter
For my birthday with my pictures and music
Hi there
This is your A.thentic Jong Hee
It’s my 18th newletter for you💐
How are you today? I hope you’re doing well now. 🙏
As I told you before, we are still in the rainy season here in Korea. This year, it seems longer than usual. Some areas in Korea have experienced too much rain, but here in Busan, we haven't had heavy rain that much.
Between the rains, there are sunny days, and during those times, I like to go out for a run. I enjoy rainy days, but sometimes I also need the warm(or hot) sunny light, especially during this summer season.
Okay, now, as I mentioned on my Instagram, this is a special newsletter for you because today, Friday, is my birthday. 🎂
So I want to share my gratitude with my subscribers, especially you, who are reading my newsletter now. 💖
I’m so grateful to you.
Since I started my Instagram two years ago, I’ve been able to continue making music thanks to my early supporters and those who became my fans later on because they liked my music.
And now, I am very grateful to you, my current followers/subscribers, for willingly reading my newsletter and supporting me along with my early followers.
As you may know, sometimes I have felt down or gloomy, and sometimes I have been happy. Talking with you and receiving your support has helped me through these times.
Sharing my experiences and memories on Instagram, and seeing how much you enjoy, appreciate, and support my videos and music, has kept me going in my musical journey till now.
Words cannot express how grateful I am. When I invited you to subscribe to my newsletter, you did so without hesitation, and now you’re reading this. 💕
You are my closest, fan, follower, and friend. I created this newsletter because I wanted to share more with you, more personally than through YouTube or Instagram.
To celebrate my birthday, I thought about what I could give you, and I came up with two things.
First, my photos. I know some of you are curious about my face since most of my photos feature me wearing a mask. However, I still find it quite embarrassing to show my face on social media. It’s just my personality.
So, I’d like to share some photos of myself from various times, like when I graduated from music graduate school in the U.S. and when I lived in Seoul. If I have the chance, I’ll share more in the future.
So, shall we take a look at my photos?

When I lived in Seoul | This is a swimming pool in Han-River |
I really liked going to the swimming pools along the Han River in Seoul during the summer. I enjoyed the summer vibes there.
![]() I liked the night mood as I lived in Seoul | It’s another seaside in Korea. It was during a summer vacation when I lived in Seoul. I liked travelling alone. |
I loved driving when I lived in Seoul. But not any more since I moved to Busan here.
Okay, you might get bored if I show you too many photos.
And now, the second one I prepared for you is my music. 🎹
To share my gratitude with you, I have made a new piano piece available for you to listen to first. I have provided a link below, and it is only accessible here—no one else can hear it outside of this newsletter.
The title of the music is “Shared Memories,” representing the memories we’ve shared together so far. The piece was just completed yesterday, and I haven't even made the album jacket yet. If I decide to release it officially, it will probably be on July 31, but I'm still considering it. Should I release it? I will follow your opinion, so please let me know what you think.🙏
By the way, July 31 is my birthday on the Solar Calendar (general calendar). Confusing, right? Today, July 19, is June 14 on the Lunar Calendar. It's similar to how Lunar New Year or Chuseok in Korea changes every year.
The Lunar New Year falls on different dates on the Solar Calendar every year. My birthday on June 14 of the Lunar Calendar changes on the Solar Calendar each year. This is due to my family's tradition. So, sometimes, I missed my birthday because I forgot to check the Lunar Calendar properly, and I only realized it when my family called me. There have been some funny incidents like that. (We don’t check Lunar Calendar every day).
These days, most people in Korea celebrate their birthdays according to the Solar Calendar.
So now, with my heartfelt gratitude, I present my music to you. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you. 🙏💜
Title : “Shared Memories”
Okay. That’s all for today. Thank you for reading 🌹
Have a nice weekend 🙏
See you next time
Bye
Warm Regards
A.thentic Jong Hee
